Formula Ford Classes: Classes recognized in the series will be FF,
CF. FF includes all cars prepared to the SCCA GCR for Formula Ford; CF includes
all cars prepared to either the NARRC or MARRS rules (spec tire). Club Fords
not running a spec tire will be classified as FF.
Series Championship: There will be individual drivers championships
for each of the Formula Ford classes (i.e., separate drivers championship for
FF and CF. The points from 6 events will be counted toward the championship;
drivers running more than 6 events will drop their lowest points event(s).
Drivers will only be allowed to count points for the actual class in which they
race at each event (i.e., if a driver runs separate events in both FF and CF,
they cannot combine points for the drivers championship). There is no minimum
number of events to be eligible for series awards.
NEC Points: The MARRS points system
will be used. Any car not running NEC decals will not be counted for a
finishing position (e.g., if the 2nd place finisher does not display
an NEC decal, the 3rd place finisher will claim the 2nd
place award and points, etc.). An additional 10 points will be awarded
for the fastest qualifier and fastest race lap in each FF class.
